As a new patient I did not feel overly welcomed. From the first phone call in I felt that they were all about the money(not making you feel welcomed, as the first question when I called was “ (do you have insurance?) I saw 2 different dentists and one hygienist within a few month period and was told 3 different outcomes. I did not trust nor did I feel confident with anything they told me.they are NOT flexible and are quiet frankly very Off putting .

Buctouche Dental was new to me within the past year or so. Yes, the front person who takes your info could come across as cold and unfriendly but after being there a few times, discover she's very nice, just not fake and gets the job done. I loved my dentist, Thurrotts' bedside manner and honesty...to the point. The few things I had done there, cleaning, x-rays, etc...all went well and the staff were respectful and I feel totally comfortable there.

I required a difficult molar extraction.
This clinic combines comforting patient care with a high degree of expertise.
I would not hesitate to take any and all dental issues to this clinic.

I went about a year ago now but was so uncomfortable with the experience i waited to share. Dr. Maureen saw me for an emergency dental procedure that turned out to be a gum infection. I had seen a very good dentist not long ago in a different province. When i saw dentist he did xrays and i needed a significant amount of work done. (Multiple fillings that were not a surprise to me because i have a bad dental history despite my good flossing and brushing habits)
When i saw Dr. Maureen and had fresh xrays done only by her pushing for them even thou i had xrays done in the last 12 months and I asked if we could use those because i knew i had work to be done and no need for new xrays so soon but she insisted, so i did. She told me i had NO fillings or dental procedures needed.
When she told me this i was scared.
Either my last dentist lied or something was wrong.
So i told the hygienist.
She looked at me with my worries and said "ill talk to her"
After that the dentist came back and said i did have two cavities to fill and she’d even fill them that same day.... as if that would make it better....
i dont know what to say here. I called my old dentist and they assured me of their credentials
I don’t know what to say.. it’s so difficult to find a good dentist. I still don’t even believe the experience I had but others should know…

If i could give less then a 1 star i would! The Dentist has no sympathie or patience with scared kids! I do NOT recommend this place! Too bad cause there are very nice and sweet workers in there! (i dont usually post but today was too much!!!) NO kid "fake cries" when they are scared!

Missed 1 appointment and they refused to see me again. Told me to go to another dentist.
Also, at my dental exam, the dentist missed 2 cavities.

DO NOT COME IN HERE!
I came in already feeling very vulnerable because of a toothache, expecting care and reassurance. Unfortunately, the dentist who was supposed to answer my questions came in with a very bad attitude and seemed extremely rushed. Her tone was upsetting, especially for someone who was hoping to get help and understand what was going on with their tooth.
She didn’t have the patience to listen to what I wanted to say, even though I had many questions. I’m very grateful that the dental hygienist beside
me was the complete opposite she was kind, patient, answered my questions, and guided me through the next steps I need to take.
The dentist seemed unhappy with her job, and I honestly can’t imagine how scary it must be for kids to be treated by someone with that kind of attitude. When she asked if I wanted to do a filling, it felt very pushy. Once I mentioned my budget, that’s when she backed off.
I’m really thankful the dental hygienist had my back. I don’t recommend this place at all because of the dentist, although the other staff are very kind. I honestly feel bad for them having to work in that environment.
